Emma Franks, Sue Munson and Mary Sumner Group Exhibition
A beautiful and contrasting exhibition of original paintings by three lady artists.
Emma Franks, recently discovered by the gallery lives in North London, her works are very dreamy and in many ways magical capturing the peace and tranquility of the moment. The paintings explore feelings of needing to be alone, to find a place in ones mind which is quiet and peaceful. Are the figures asleep or simply needing to disengage for a while?
Sue Munson has been painting since the mid nineties, Influenced by the artist Carol Anthony early in her career Sue produces beautiful atmospheric landscape paintings.
Finally a newcomer to the Gallery, Devon artist Mary Sumner. Exhibited widely in the South West much of her work is based on the Mid-Devon landscape around Tiverton, her home for over 20 years. Sketched observations on her daily walks provide much of the inspiration for her pictures.
