Intercapillary Places: Poetry at Parasol unit

Poet and writer James Wilkes will discuss his current research into lines & landscape, part of on-going studies for his PhD in Humanities and Cultural Studies at the London Consortium. Recent publications include Reviews (Burner Veer, 2009) and Weather A System (Penned in the Margins, 2009). He will be joined by poet Andrew Duncan who has published poetry since the 1970’s including In a German Hotel, Anxiety Before Entering a Room, Sound Surface, Surveillance and Compliance. More recently he has produced literary criticism including The Failure of Conservatism in Modern British Poetry (Salt); Centre and Periphery in Modern British Poetry (Liverpool UP) and Origins of the Underground: The Occlusion of British Poetry, 1932–77 (Salt). Intercapillary Places is a collaboration between Parasol unit and poets Edmund Hardy and Felicity Roberts comprising a series of events combining critical talks and poetry.
