Store Street Gallery is pleased to present 'All Things Bright and Beautiful', 25th July-6th September, an exhibition of unique and unexpected works that explore and subvert the themes of flora and fauna. Showcasing original paintings, assemblages, sculpture and taxidermy both marvellous and bizarre, the exhibition celebrates artists with an innovative approach to their subject, medium and technique. Highlights include Dan Baldwin's vibrant mixed media canvases which layer and juxtapose playful colours and childhood imagery with more apocalyptic themes. Sinister yet beautiful, his paintings depict scenes in which bunny rabbits, puppies and birds frolic alongside macabre motifs such as skulls and anatomical references. A Vanitas for the 21st century, his work deals with Life/Death, innocence, beauty and decay.
