This symposium focuses on themes emerging out of the international programme of work within What Next for the Body. The morning session will place artists together with curators and social researchers to explore the idea of death as a visceral presence in the experience of the living. The afternoon will locate artists and scientists together to reveal the body in flux, as an evolving organism in the face of emerging scientific discovery and medical ethics.
