The Drawing Factory

The Drawing Factory is a new organisation that formed in the summer of 2006, it currently consists of six artists. The group produces both individual and collaborative works that question and explore expanded notions of drawing: drawing as thought, drawing as process, drawing as preparatory tool and drawing as finished article. The Drawing Factory offers the opportunity for the artists to explore their ideas in an open and playful way. The breadth of individual approaches (which ranges from more traditional forms of drawing to video, animation, audio work and installation) offer challenge to both artist and audience.
