Emily Tsingou Gallery is pleased to present the third one-person exhibition of British painter Kate Bright in London.The exhibition consists of a new series of landscapes using acrylic, resin and glitter on canvas.
These large-scale works featuring mountain passes, canals, and lakes survey the landscape as much as they depict its detail. At times the painting's subject becomes a ground for the representation of a field of colour or a meticulously, tightly wrought detail, at this critical point Bright's work questions the notional distinction between abstraction and figuration.
