Marie Cool and Fabio Balducci have been working together since 1996. For their South London Gallery exhibition they present a number of sculptural works taking the form of a series of 'exercises', executed by Marie Cool in the SLG's main space throughout the day, from noon until 6pm, Tuesday to Sunday, throughout the six-week run of the show, regardless of whether or not there are visitors in the space. Using basic props ' sheets of paper, Sellotape or pieces of thread ' and slow, precise movements, the apparent simplicity of the works is at odds with the intensity of experiencing them and with the physical control behind their realisation.
