Simon Hitchens FRBS: A Separate Reality

About

Simon Hitchens' sculptures are about presence and absence. They stem from a seminal sculpture, entitled ‘In the presence of absence'. The sculptures share the shape of the cube as a perfect form, and raise questions in the viewers mind about an intimate relationship in each sculpture. Are we looking at one, albeit divided, entity, or are these two individuals? Which one is shaping the other? Are they drifting apart or coming together?
