Art Students Create, Connect and Converge at the University of Northampton’s Avenue Gallery, presenting their visual response to the non-visual arts.
A collaborative exhibition showcasing installation, sculpture, performance, painting, drawing, film and photography from 23 Fine Art second year students from the University.
Student Billy Hawes who devised the show’s concept, explained:
'Uniting 23 individual artists was never going to be easy but we feel that the show’s concept does just that. It allows for 23 different creative practices to connect and converge to become one. It allows for complete freedom whilst unifying not only the artists, but also the arts.'
The exhibition’s curators’ includes: Fatma Ummanel, Jodie Thurston, Ruby Satchell and Ruth Boddington.
Fatma Ummanel said: ‘We are excited to curate “create, connect, converge”, a visual response to a creative means. Collectively, we aim to represent a plethora of our thoughts and ideas, and apply it to other avenues of art.’
