Independent curator and writer Ying-Hsuan Tai was born in Taiwan and lives in London. She was educated at Goldsmiths, University of London in MFA Curating. Her most recent curatorial project was ‘Create Syria: The Future Constellation’ – a joint project by International Alert, the British Council and Ettijahat – Independent Culture. This exhibition was part of the Talking Peace Festival 2016 which aimed to support dialogue and resilience between refugees and communities across Lebanon. Tai has been writing for the mainstream Taiwanese art magazine ‘The Artist’ as an art journalist since 2013. She currently works for an art and humanitarian organisation ‘Between Borders’ as the chief curator, and is in the process of independently curating ‘The Xenophobia of Time?’ – an exhibition exploring the pertinent issues of migration.
