Tom Gillham’s extemporary paintings express a stream of consciousness. His emotive mindscapes, often inhabited by extraordinary features and colourful characters representing the energy of the human spirit. He explores through his art the evolution of trans-cultural myths, beautiful imperfection and states of mind. His vibrant semi-abstract paintings combine elements of narrative and fragments of figuration. Tom studied Fine Art at the Cass Art School in Whitechapel (1991-96) and recently at Brighton University (2017-19) close to his home and studio on the South Downs and Sussex Coast.
