Soul’D started using stencils back in the year 2000. Her artworks intends to be both, ‘Enjoyed for their simple beauty, enlighting with an eco warrior vibe, or to poke fun at life.’ This self proclaimed identity within the artwork often carries with it a bold political statement - a dissident undertone designed to disrupt the ‘business as usual’ approach to life, calling for a deeper questioning and scrutiny of the status quo. It is with this heart and soul infused art that the artist found the name, along with the play of the pieces being sold, and the intention of ‘re-souling’ a culture that, it could be said, has largely lost its way.
