Ruby Khan is a London-based contemporary artist who envisions celebrating; the physical and emotional journey she has undertaken throughout her life. Born, raised and working in London, Ruby studied Art and Design at Uxbridge College; graduated in 2021 with a degree in Fine Arts BA from the University of East London. Ruby is fascinated by German expressionism. She intends to use abstract shapes, colours and expressive mark makings to evoke power through abstraction using the intuitive feel for bright, optimistic colours and shapes; her diverse art practices in printmaking, painting, photography, sculpture and installation. Her passion and inspiration for creative expression began long before this artistic ‘education’. Ruby attended art therapy sessions as a child; at the age of five, Ruby was diagnosed with dyslexia, autism and speech-language impairment. Ruby takes transformative limits; in her works, she produces to communicate her story through the journey she has encountered in her life. She has exhibited in London and published in articles and magazines.
