PROMISES is an artist and writer who lives and works in London. Their art is always BIG & RED, and often centres around intense live performances. Themes of war, violence, empathy and joy are central to their practice. The artist draws from family histories of the break up of Yugoslavia, queer London subculture, pop stars, generation X, fucking, psychotherapy, communism, fascism, nationalism, our man Titio, Kanye, B, Ariana, contemporary baroque painting, peers, friends, lovers, parents, and their forever life commitment: red.
