Oisín McDaid, as an artist, is fascinated by the intersection of traditional portraiture and cutting edge technology. Through his paintings McDaid explores the concept of identity in the digital age. Seeking to create portraits that combine the advancing world of digital art with our traditional practices of painting and ‘DeCollage’ McDaid uses A.I. generated imagery as a tool to challenge traditional notions of representation. The work produced by McDaid aims to spark conversations about technology’s role in shaping our understanding of identity and what it truly means to be human.
