I’ve been worrying about my line not being long or thick enough. About an inadequacy of being suspended in space. I remind myself I’m being taught by the words appearing in the gaps between letters. Yet I long for their solid form. I make sure to land a roll. I make my bed. I make room. Lucy Bird works mainly with sculpture, performance and spoken word. She lives and works in London and is currently studying a Masters in Sculpture at The Royal College of Art.
