Part of events on ArtRabbit in: Glasgow

I studied illustration and printmaking at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and after an extensive creative career in local government, most recently as Design Adviser for South Lanarkshire Council and including a spell as Chair of Creative Exchange, the forum for public sector creatives in Scotland, I now work as a full-time artist from my studio base in Many Studios in the Barras in Glasgow. I enjoy plein air ‘urban’ sketching and reportage studies of the world around me, with a particular interest in architectural subjects in my hometown of Glasgow and from travels in Scotland, Europe and beyond. The scenes I capture are often off-beat or unexpected, not the landmark buildings but the overlooked corners of a city – back lanes and everyday views of rooftops, tenements and the city's people. I am an Artist Member of the Paisley Art Institute (PAI) and have exhibited in France and Scotland.
