Glossy Thoroughbred or hairy native pony, there is something about the challenge of capturing a beautiful equestrian subject in oil paint that is so incredibly rewarding. The richness and versatility of oils, the pursuit of that elusive brushstroke bringing the grace and complexity of the horse to life on canvas; this is where my passion lies.
Having rediscovered my childhood love of painting in 2008 I made my debut at The Society of Equestrian Artists Annual Exhibition, Mall Galleries London the following year, where I was awarded the Ingleton-Beer Associates Price for best depiction of horse and rider. In 2011 I was awarded The Eggesford Studio Prize for the best piece of work by an artist under 35 at the same exhibition. As my career develops so too does my dedication to developing my equestrian life painting skills, and incorporating them into my studio work.
Based in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, I live with my husband and two young children. In addition to producing original oil paintings and limited edition prints I undertake a number of commissioned paintings each year. For further information about my work please don’t hesitate to contact me.
