KATE WATERS (1964) lives and works in Düsseldorf (DE) The Canadian born British painter was at Art School in London in the 1980's, at Saint Martins and The Slade. Just before Brit Art took off she decided to continue her nomadic youth and move to Düsseldorf ,Germany where the art scene was more convivial towards painting. Having settled in Düsseldorf , now with her family, she continues to travel and photograph to inform her studio work. Kate Waters's work is about belonging and questioning 'our' perception of the world. Consistently she has produced large humerus , yet darkly 'Lynchesque' urban realities. Kate Waters has taken part in Art Fairs and gallery exhibition nationally & international with the next solo show in Düsselforf in August 2015.
