Julie Bennett specialises in portraiture. Her bold, unapologetically confident portraits have an overly-exaggerated painted surface as a juxtaposition to our digital world. She wants to leave the viewer in no doubt that they are looking at a painting when they see her work. She is a graduate of Camberwell College of Art and has exhibited widely in group exhibitions which include Mall Galleries and V&A Museum. In 2021, Bennett had a six-week residency at Bankside Hotel.
