"I’m inspired by memories, people, and places, from the Devon and Dorset countryside to far-off places. My use of patterns and designs found in architecture and textiles are integral to my work and reflect the places I have visited. History, stories, and mythology are a rich resource and influence my ideas which are connected to my own travel experiences and cultures rich in indigenous art. I print mainly in monochrome because it gives me strong images and clarity of fine detail and reflects both simple and complex experiences."
