Damien Borowik is a French artist living and working in London. Borowik's practice is intrinsically linked to the art of making; where his usage of tools and processes become integral to the aesthetic of the work he makes. Whether in his paintings, digital or hybrid work, Borowik strives to create pieces that aspire towards the contemplation of the sublime.
Borowik is a graduate of Goldsmiths College and Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. He has taught at Central Saint Martins for the past seventeen years in various capacities. Currently he is teaching a short course on creative coding, which introduces visual artists and designers to the world of coding in art making. Several of Borowik's works were recently purchased to become part of the permanent collection at the V&A. He has also been commissioned by Sir Terence Conran and Christian Dior Couture, as well as invited for an art residency at Samsung in South Korea.
