Daen acts across platforms as contributor to various publications and works on exhibitions and events as well as production design. He has worked in the fields of art, fashion, beauty and international cultural relations in the UK, Germany, Mexico and the Netherlands. Primarily, Daen is the Editor and Co-Founder of The Protagonist Magazine, a high quality bi-annual sustainable magazine that incorporates art, fashion and culture. For the publication, Daen also acts as the Creative Director, Project Coordinator and Production Manager. Overseeing the whole of the publication process from initial ideas to final product, Daen is knowledgeable in design and print processes and ensures quality control. For the magazine, he has developed marketing strategies and, together with his team, built up a solid readership through social media campaigns and presence at industry events. The Protagonist Magazine is now distributed worldwide and stocked at Somerset House, Tate Modern, Leighton House Museum, Waterstones London, WHSmith Paris, Palais de Tokyo, Libreria Hoepli Milan, Above the Fold Los Angeles and many more in New York, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Krakow and Berlin. Daen is Lecturer of Creative Direction at Southampton Solent University and guest lectures at Ravensbourne, Coventry University as well as Plymouth College of Art about writing, publishing, marketing and photography.
