Carles Guerra (Amposta, 1965) has been Director of La Virreina Centre de la Imatge in Barcelona from 2009 to 2011 and Chief Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona MACBA between 2011 and 2013. He is Professor of Social Structures and Cultural Trends at the Pompeu Fabra University and he has been part of the Greenroom Project dedicated to contemporary documentary practices at the Center For Curatorial Studies of Bard College, New York. He has curated exhibitions such as Art & Language in Practice (1999), After the News. Postmedia Documentaries (2003), Joaquim Jordà. Situational Cinema (2006), B Zones: On the Margins of Europe (2007), This is not an Exhibition (2008), Guia secreta de la Rambla (2010), Antiphotojournalism (2010), 1979.
