Nathalie Mei’s multidisciplinary practice is primarily informed by the idea of image generating and image processing as a conduit to transform a fragmented and ephemeral reality into tangible environments. In her works, materials like salt, plastic or paper are engaging with the photographic language to establish a connection between individual and collective worlds, the world of objects and the concept of time. Nathalie Mei was born on Ibiza, Balearic Islands and lives and works in Berlin and Düsseldorf. In 2018 Mei obtained a postgraduate degree in Contemporary Photography, Practices and Philosophies at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, UK.
