Andrew Phillips

Hailing from the South coast of England, Andrew has studied Fine Art at the University of Wales, and trained as an Art Psychotherapist at Goldsmiths College, London. In 2015 Andrew moved to Edinburgh, heeding a calling to be closer to the landscapes of ‘the North’. Andrew's art practice lies at the intersection of deep ecology, mysticism, and therapeutic praxis, where he aims to evoke a sense of the hidden Numinous within landscape. In 2016 Andrew's work has featured in exhibitions at Newave Gallery Aberdeen, The Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh, and House for an Art Lover in Glasgow. His work has also been published in Vol 9 of the Dark Mountain series, and in spring 2017 two works will be included in an Alterity Studies anthology, compiled by the artist Richard Skelton.
