Adam Lucy is a multi-faceted artist living and practicing between London and creative coastal hub Margate. His work occupies a space of revelation, exploring and experimentation by peeling back of layers of memory and time. He utilises found photographic imagery within his work and as inspiration for his paintings and plays with the binding nature of yarn and the process of stitching. Adams artistic and poetic work showcases a need to reinterpret his past to gain a new and deeper understanding of his present. His continual exploration of the hidden or forgotten is a reclamation of history and translates into a substantial body of work around deep human emotion such as grief, loss, social injustice, and shared lived experience. Exhibited in group shows in Mayfair, Shoreditch and Edinburgh Adam has solo exhibitions in London and cultural coastal hot-spot Margate scheduled in 2023/24.
