Abel Shah is a collaboration between Alexandra Bell and Giulia Shah. Working within installation, sculpture, sound and image-based medias, our work is concerned with investigating the relationship between object and image, (re)presentation of “things” in a virtual and physical world, structures of value and disruption of singular knowledge. Continually questioning our entity as a duo and the need to shift the definitions of authorship and “the artist”, collaboration and working with an open and experimental approach is at the core of our practice. We are currently Artist in Residence at The Florence Trust, London.
