The Winns Gallery is a new visual arts exhibition space in the Aveling Centre in Lloyd Park; the Gallery is owned by the London Borough of Waltham Forest and managed by Waltham Forest College. The Gallery will provide a space for local artists and local community led arts projects to display their work with the aim of reflecting the diversity of the borough.
The College is inviting applications from local artists to exhibit their work at the new Winns Gallery. Artists will be selected according to artistic merit and the suitability of their work for the space of the venue. Artists are requested to email submissions to Tracey.Hyllam@waltham.ac.uk. Applications should include a CV, artist’s statement, up to 10 jpeg images and any website details. A range of art mediums are welcome. Artists will be shortlisted by the Art and Design Panel; shortlisted artists will be invited to present their proposal to the panel for final selection. Artists not selected in the first round can request to have their work kept on file for future exhibitions.
Exhibitors are expected to self-invigilate their exhibitions and make a small contribution to the hanging system.
