West Dean Gardens
Chichester, United Kingdom
Come and enjoy the beauty that is West Dean Gardens. Creatively inspired by its rich heritage and South Downs setting, the gardens include a Walled Kitchen Garden and 13 working Victorian glasshouses, extensive and richly planted grounds including a stunning 300 foot Edwardian Pergola, and the fifty acre St Roche’s arboretum accessed by the beautiful two mile parkland walk.
A visit to the Gardens is the perfect opportunity to escape to the great outdoors for a few hours, enjoy nature and be inspired by the colour and form of all that the gardens offer. West Dean Gardens is now open throughout the year – offering new access to the changing colours and shape of the gardens in deep winter as well as their transition through the seasons.
Exciting new features to look out for at West Dean Gardens in 2020 includes the planting of over 100 trees across the gardens, immediate parkland and arboretum; four freshly restored glasshouses ready for planting; and there will be a new-look cut flower and kitchen garden, so do stop by for a visit!
