Villa Rusconi is a Lombard historical house, originally mansion of Corio family, an influential dinasty in Milan in seventeenth century. The original architecture is a project by Italian Baroque architect Francesco Maria Richini. The exterior structure is partially original, partially reshaped. The interior spaces are remaked in 1929 , when the Villa is acquired by Count Giuseppe Rusconi, the last owner. The Villa housed a magnificent art collection with masterpieces of Caravaggio, Magnasco, Poussin.  After public acquisition, an arson in 1992 damaged the Villa. The space conserve his evocative decadence in furnitures, decorations, frescos.
Today Villa Rusconi is a public space with a program of events about contemporary art directed by Fabio Carnaghi.
