Urbane is delighted to be hosting the European launch of the Renaissance Series by the internationally renowned Chicago-based photographer Freddy Fabris.

Join us this April in celebrating the launch of this award-winning collection of fine art photographic prints, which quite literally portrays the mechanics of art. That is to say the works depict auto repair workers in poses from famous paintings by Renaissance artists, including Michelangelo and Rembrandt.

Fabris says he was inspired to use mechanics in his new work after a stop at an auto shop in the Mid West. The resulting images are pin-sharp, clever and innovative. Mechanics in their oily overalls appear in remarkable parodies of instantly recognisable works of art. These include The Last Supper by Phillippe de Champaigne and Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam.
