Tsitsanis Museum

Housed in the building of the old prison of Trikala, next to Litheos River and a few meters away from Koursoum Mosque, the building of Tsitsanis Museum exudes an aura of history and culture. Visitors can admire the Ottoman hamam, dating since the 16th century, they can travel in the years of the civil war through the historic building and they can discover the great work of Tsitsanis, through information and important documents about his life and songs. Alongside its permanent collections, Tsitsanis Museum hosts selected exhibitions of contemporary art and performance events.
