Trafo Gallery is a private exhibition hall in the former slaughterhouse, with purpose to display outstanding artists not only from the generation of their founders. At the birth of the former Trafačka were Jan Kaláb, Jakub Nepraš, Michal Cimala and Blanka Čermáková, who have been forming an exhibition program together since the end of 2006. In cooperation with the leading Czech curators (Otto M. Urban, Petr Vaňous, Radek Wohlmuth and others) and Czech and foreign artists, Trafo Gallery prepares six exhibitions per year, for which bilingual narrative publications are being published.

More than a hundred artists lived at the original address in the former power station and more than 200 exhibitions and cultural events took place on that place. The most notable were the Names Festival (2008), Martha Cooper Files (2013), We Believe in the Crisis (2009), annual St. Nicholas’ exhibitions of residents and guests, etc.

At present has their studios Jan Kaláb, Jakub Nepraš, Zdeněk Trs, Tets Ohnari near the Trafo Gallery and Michal Cimala, H3T architects and Michal Pustějovský work in Nusle studios.
