Travel Information

Bus: The village of Harewood is centrally placed in Yorkshire at the junction of the A61/A659 on the Leeds/Harrogate road and on two good bus routes (No 36 and No 923).
Train: Our nearest rail stations are Leeds and Harrogate. Taxis and bus connections are available.

Harewood has enjoyed a very special relationship with contemporary artists throughout its history.

Today it is home to an astounding collection of paintings by masters of the Italian Renaissance, family portraits by Reynolds, Hoppner and Lawrence, and modern art collected by the 7th Earl and Countess.

Drawing on these rich historic associations as inspiration, 'Harewood Contemporary' is Harewood's programme of temporary exhibitions throughout the season, taking place in the Terrace Gallery, in the State Rooms and occasionally in the grounds including the Terrace, West Garden and Harewood Church.
