The Ruskin Show 2016 will feature the inaugural MFA graduate exhibition at the school’s new premises at 128 Bullingdon Road, alongside the BFA show. This marks the culmination of an intensive, interdisciplinary MFA course in the practice of contemporary art. The graduating batch of  students, under the guidance of Corin Sworn, John Cussans, Claudia Sarnthein, Gil Leung and Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, have given shape to a course which had previously existed only on paper. In the nine months, the students have been challenged to interrogate their individual practices in a demanding studio-based environment. The MFA graduate exhibition will be an articulation of these challenges, manifesting in a variety of mediums and approaches to art making, and forged through the supportive and rigorous sociality of mutual participation.

To raise funds for the exhibition, the MFA graduates have each produced limited edition screen prints that will be sold in a handcrafted portfolio. The portfolio is made possible by the guidance of print artists Oona Grimes and Graeme Hughes, at The Ruskin School of Art's new print facility at the recently opened Bullingdon Road site.
