The newly refurbished Corn Hall provides a transformed building which is exciting, bright and welcoming and one that is completely accessible to everyone – locals and visitors alike – in the daytime as well as for evening events.

Built in 1854, the Corn Hall was an impressive and state-of-the-art structure for trading at the heart of historic Diss. Run since 2010 by the Diss Corn Hall Trust as a lively arts venue; the Corn Hall is once again taking centre stage in the community life of the town. Recently reopened following major funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, local authorities and other major funders as part of the Diss Heritage Triangle project, the Corn Hall has been completely refurbished and extended. The new entrance, box office, foyer, gallery, bar and café have resulted in a more welcoming, accessible and sustainable venue.

The Corn Hall’s exciting and wide-ranging events programme attracts audiences from a wide area. Regular events include performances by high profile personalities, comedians and bands, a variety of touring and local theatre, family events and activities, daytime and evening film screenings, live satellite broadcasts of West End shows, contemporary art exhibitions and displays exploring the heritage of the area.

As the largest auditorium in South Norfolk, now with extended opening times and a varied events programme, the Corn Hall is fast becoming a buzzing central hub for the region.
