LSAD Gallery is a major exhibition space in the School of Art and Design. Originally a church, this gallery has been refurbished to create a venue which offers curatorial and exhibiting possibilities to staff, students and the wider art and design world.

The Gallery has played host to a number of important external exhibitions, namely The Lives of Spaces, an RIAI exhibition (2009) EV+A (2010) Table of Contents (2010) as well as digital art show TWEAK (2009, 2010).

However, the Gallery mainly functions as a student showcase, displaying work by undergraduates in the degree shows, the annual Fashion Show and in self-curated shows such as Cirque de Ceramique (2010) Beta Movement (2010) and multi-media shows The Gray Cabinet (2010) and Id Entity (2011). Postgraduate students have also used the LSAD Gallery as an important resource for their study; they can use it as a research tool/process, to develop ideas, to present projects and shows and otherwise utilise the space.

Currently (September 2011) the Gallery will show the work of MA student Eveylyn Glynn (October 2011) and also play host to Transform – a show by Ceramics Ireland (opening 2nd November 2011)
