The Biscuit Factory is the UK’s largest independent contemporary art, craft & design gallery set in the heart of the Ouseburn; Newcastle’s cultural quarter. Housed in a former Victorian warehouse, our beautiful gallery spaces are set over two floors, displaying and selling a range of contemporary fine art, sculpture, original prints and jewellery, quality craftsmanship and design led homewares from over 200 artists every season.
Open since 2002, we represent the work of emerging and mid career artists and feature collaborative exhibitions with national agencies, arts organisations and initiatives such as International Print Biennale, Craft Scotland and National Glass Centre.
The ethos of the gallery has always been to provide a platform for local and national artists, to support emergent makers, to showcase established artists and to add to the cultural landscape of the region.
