Thackeray Gallery is one of London’s well established and highly recognised Galleries, and is now in its 47th year.  The Gallery was founded in 1968, in the premises of 18 Thackeray Street, Kensington, where we are still trading today.

The Gallery works exclusively with Living British Artists.  We represent Artists from a young age and work closely and long term with them throughout their careers. Such names as Sir Kyffin Williams RA (1918-2006), Alberto Morrocco OBE RSA RSW (1917-1998) and Joanna Carrington (1931-2003) all began their careers with us, and stayed with the Gallery throughout their lifetimes.

Currently, we represent well known names such as Ethel Walker, Gordon Bryce, Michael Honnor, David Klein, Jennifer McRae, Judy Buxton and Christine McArthur to name a few.

We work long term with clients too, people often buying their first work of art from us, and then continuing to collect for many years, and decades to follow.

Our style is informal and approachable and we welcome all.  We are unusual but proud of the fact that we work with set prices - a rarity in the art world today…!

We operate a 0% interest free Payment Plan Scheme.

Thackeray Gallery has been a Member of The Society of London Art Dealers since 1994.
