A grade II listed 18th century townhouse. Home to the Swedenborg Society since 1925, the building features a bookshop, library, academic publishing house and three function rooms. The main attraction of the building is Swedenborg Hall, a gracious ground floor lecture room in the neoclassical style and described as 'one of London's most atmospheric venues' (The Guardian).
Swedenborg House is host to an Artist in Residence programme, the annual Swedenborg Short Film Festival, the Bloomsbury Festival, the Swedenborg Film Season plus ongoing film, literature and art events. Its rooms are also available for private hire.
