Galerie Suppan Contemporary was established in 1999 by Martin Suppan at Habsburgergasse 5 in Vienna. The gallery is exclusively dedicated to post-war and contemporary art. It has a particular focus on the promotion of younger international artists, but also shows a number of internationally recognized artists, which are represented at international art fairs. In all its activities, the gallery aims to demonstrate innovative possibilities of artistic expression through the presentation of new works, which make engaging, convincing and impressive statements about the present. The gallery's programme includes both artists who work with such traditional media as painting and sculpture and those working in such areas as photography, video and installation, such as Franz West, Max Weiler, Antoni Tapíes, Damien Hirst, Sigmar Polke, Arnulf Rainer, Hermann Nitsch, Feng Zhengjie, Wolfgang Hollegha, Bettina Rheims, Gunter Damisch, Mao Tongqiang, Hans Staudacher, Franz Zadrazil, Florentina Pakosta, Helmut Ditsch, Dorota Sadovska, Attila Adorján, Helmut Grill, Alex Kiessling, Jeanne Szilit, Gabriele Seethaler, Wolfgang Herzig, Peter Sengl, Huber Schmalix, Robert Zeppel-Sperl and more.
