School Gallery launched on Thursday 25 October with Bruce McLean’s MINIMAL INVISIBLE MISSING, an exhibition of reworked documentation of late 1960’s sculptures. The gallery presents 4 exhibitions per year. The programme for 2018/19 includes exhibitions by Simon Patterson, Ana Milenkovic, Catherine Haines and Jessica Voorsanger.

School Gallery will also be publishing 4 written pieces each year. These will be launched alongside each exhibition as creative statements in their own right. The first publication will be by Craig Burnett with others planned by Richard Makin, Graeme Gilloch and Tamas Dobozy.

The intention for this gallery is to create a supportive creative facility that helps artists and writers to realise conceptual ideas. School Gallery will work representatively with a small group of stable artists’ and present shows by other artists that the gallerist, Michael Hall, has a strong relationship with.

School Gallery was established by Michael Hall, an artist and curator and operates in a gallery at Delta House Studios, a provider of art studios in Wimbledon. Michael has curated a number of exhibitions since 2010 including shows by Bruce McLean and Michael Brick and group exhibitions Call Me Ishmael: An Exhibition on the Theme of Moby Dick and The Arca Project: An Exhibition Inspired by the Work of W.G.Sebald. He has managed Invisible Print Studio for the last 5 years supporting artists through limited edition print publications. The print studio is a facility that artists can access to create new work for exhibitions with the support of Michael.
