The SCHAU FENSTER is a space for art in Berlin-Kreuzberg. 25 meters wall, 25 meters window front: the name is program. The former showroom for water taps has been in use since August 2010 with monthly changing group exhibitions of contemporary art. Since then, the SCHAU FENSTER has established itself as a forum for quality and communication, for stylistic diversity and interdisciplinary cooperation.

Jan "Yaneq" Kage, who heads the SCHAU FENSTER, follows one guiding principle: "Curate the Curators!" Thus he established the place as the interface of various artistic circles. "Bring them all together," is the motive according to which Kage invites curators from different parts of the art world. Artists, art historians, gallery owners, musicians - well-known or underground: they have all put together exhibitions in the SCHAU FENSTER. It's not the style or the medium that matters. It counts the attitude.

Dedicated to diversity, the SCHAU FENSTER is not only an exhibition but also a place for performances, readings, smaller concerts and film screenings. The opening evenings are accompanied by artist DJs and usually go into glittering festivals. The audience consists of all age and social groups. Often people come together here who otherwise would not have met. In addition, art becomes a medium for discussion and initiation.
