Nunnsyard Gallery

Nunnsyard gallery is located on St Augustine Street, a few minutes’ walk away from Magdalen Street. This gallery is fairly new in the history of the Norwich arts scene; it was only a few years ago that the building was transformed from a tattoo parlour into a new exciting exhibition space. 

Nunnsyard serves as a community gallery, in the sense that it can be hired by anyone with an idea that they wish to share. The rules are fairly relaxed (with the exception of some restrictions to hang) the space can be booked for between one and twenty-eight days. As a result, there is always an exciting variety of pop-ups, performances and exhibitions to see.

Nunnsyard is the flagship gallery of three; Yallops and Thirteen A, complete the set. Yallops offers a more homely interior for artists while Thirteen A could be described as a small white cube, ideal for first time exhibitors. Cutting edge and sometimes experimental artworks allow passers-by to be visually tempted and enticed into these exciting spaces on St Augustines street.
