This is the third installation of the Urban Museum series, known as +n by UR-MU. Amid the city’s hustle and bustle lies a unique art gallery showcasing Malaysia’s finest talent. Once a Chinatown shophouse, it now thrives in a contemporary style that invites relaxation, featuring casual seating and a serene rooftop pond. Currently featured is "Strategies of Dissent," an exhibition presenting nearly 70 works from celebrated landscape architect Ng Sek San's collection, tracing the evolution of protest art from the 1990s to today. This exhibition is a vibrant exploration of how artists use visual expression as a form of rebellion. From bold statements to quiet acts of resistance, these artists wear many hats—archivists, designers, thinkers, and organizers—navigating the fine line between dramatic protests and subtle, everyday dissent. "Strategies of Dissent" not only maps out these artistic journeys but also challenges the idea that only flashy spectacles define resistance.
