Part beauty salon, art studio, and performance space, Mutant Salon is a collectively-run space for art, beautification, and care of the self, founded by Young Joon Kwak in 2012. Though several others help with the salon, the permanent artist/collective organizers include Marvin Astorga and Elisa Harkins. Available beauty treatments include hair cuts/styling, makeup, nails, tattoos, tarot readings, massages and more—all for donation.
