Mirante Xique Xique

We are a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the cultural and environmental authenticity and heritage of the Chapada Diamantina. Through cultural activities, residency programs, and environmental education, we promote awareness regarding the importance of biodiversity, the preservation and recovery of local biomes, and the safeguarding of the region’s architectural and intangible heritage.

We promote research residencies that are geared toward visual artists, curators, writers, architects, cooks, environmentalists and academics who are interested in living, creating, or having an immersion experience in the Chapada Diamantina, Bahia, Brazil. The program is research-oriented, and it welcomes those who can establish their own working conditions.
