Marisa Newman Projects

Marisa Newman Projects opened its physical space in 2017 in Korea Town (Midtown Manhattan), intending to expand the appreciation of art beyond the limits of traditional spaces. We produce exhibitions, limited editions, events, and publications, to highlight the myriad ways artists work today. We work with the artists of every stage of their career - yet we focus on the artists who have been overlooked or underrepresented. Marisa Newman Projects serves as a platform for artists to realize their most experimental work - probing the new territories for their creative practice. Artists had used our space as their own studio, a safe space to reveal and heal their trauma, to curate the exhibitions of their long-time peers, and to create unexpected yet insightful intergenerational dialogues.
