Leica Gallery Prague has been operating in the field of art since 2002 and is exclusively focusing on photography presentation. In 2005 gallery presented a unique mobile exhibition project “Gallery on the train” to the public. The exhibition “Workers” by Sebastião Salgado travelled in specially adjusted railway wagons around selected towns of the Czech and Slovak Republics, bringing the photographs to people. For a great success followed two another years with projects by Antonín Kratochvíl and Mr and Mrs Wenders.

The Leica Gallery Prague has been functioning in the Prague centre in the Školská street since 2008, where it runs, apart from the exhibition hall, also a gallery café, and a bookshop with photographic publications.

Among the most important exhibition realized by the Leica Gallery Prague  belong projects by worldwide known artists like Mary Ellen Mark, Elliott Erwitt, Anton Corbijn, Helmut Newton, Leni Riefenstahl, Edward Steichen, René Burri, Sebastião Salgado, Antonín Kratochvíl, Wim and Donata Wenders, Ruud van Empel, Sarah Moon, Michel Comte or Andreas H.
